Focusing on Life - 18 of 52

This week, Sally challenged us to create an abstract photo.

I puzzled over what to photograph almost the entire week until I bit the bullet and walked outside with my camera.

I took a few pictures of the kiddo's flowers and added a bit of grain to the pictures.

This one seems more abstract and I really love it.

These photos are very much like Sally's inspiration photo she sent us last week.  Sally, thank you for the inspiration and for another wonderful week.

Focusing on Life - 7 of 52

This week in Sally Russick's Focus on Life challenge, Sally challenged us to "enjoy the beauty of flowers."

My first thought, of course, was, "there are no flowers in February."  I half thought of taking pictures of the dormant rose bushes in our yard.

Then I thought of beaded flowers.  I have several of those laying around.

Luckily, my husband solved my problem for me.  He sent me and the kiddo roses and a teddy bear.  (I'll let you decide which was for whom.)

Because I can't resist, here are a few more pictures.  Not only did I enjoy the blooms, but I enjoyed playing in Lightroom.

i heart macro Sunday

I keep telling myself to take more pictures and practice with my camera, and what better way than to participate in "i heart macro" Sundays.

The kiddo and I spent some time in the yard looking for a suitable subject. This is a rose on its last legs. I played around a bit in photoshop and love the colors.
