i heart macro Sunday

It's been a bit of a busy week, so I don't have too much today.  I did manage to take a few shots of our cherry tree.  I love seeing it covered in cherries.

I wish I could say I will make a pie or cobbler, but by the  time the cherries are big enough to eat, the rabbits, squirrel and birds generally get there first. :(

This one is hiding.

If you are wondering about the yellow and blue background, the kiddo was picking cherries as I was taking pictures.  She's wearing her Snow White dress.

  1. Hi Tanya,
I love cherries! These shots make my mouth water.
I had a big fig tree in my backyard and every year I tried to catch them when they were ripe and ready to pick, but just like your cherries the birds got to them first.

  2. Those do look so yummy, I haven't had cherries picked off the tree since I was very young. Brings back lots of good memories!

  3. My parents had cherry trees for years but got few cherries because of the birds. The few times my mom made cherry pies they were the best ever! These are great pictures and I want cherries now!

  4. I love the Snow White background most of all!

We had an apple tree in our yard when I was growing up. Actually, a crabapple tree -- lots of small, hard, SOUR fruit that would give a monster bellyache... Beautiful flowers, not so happy snacking.
