This week, Sally asked us to focus on typograhpy.
Sally mentioned that the font or layout of a word brings to mind different feelings. Certain fonts or letters are definitely recognizable.
For this challenge, my thoughts immediately went to comic books. I've been reading comics as long as I can remember and have always loved seeing the sounds and effects in visual form.
As I was looking through issues, I realized that many of these sounds are not happy ones.
There are some, though, that bring a smile to my face.
Please check out Sally's blog to see what other participants found in their words.
Great choice for this prompt!
ReplyDeletePerfect examples! I never thought of comic books - it's so interesting and wonderful how each of us thinks of something different!
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful week :)
My favorite is the second one, I guess because of all the Z's and K's
ReplyDeleteOh, how unique, what a great idea so show these!
ReplyDeleteWoohoo! I love this- words that show their meanings visually.
ReplyDeleteA very interesting choice Tanya.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea - I've never been one for comics even as a child but I was always a Dr Who fan - I love the last one!
ReplyDeleteI love your take on the prompt! We have lots of comics in the house and yes, the "sounds" are always cool.
ReplyDeleteThat made me think of the old Batman show on TV and the comic like bubbles they would show when Batman and Robin were beating on the bad guys. Of course they came out of the comics so why not use comic effects, right?
ReplyDeleteVWorp VWorp VWorp lol Love that sound!!!
ReplyDeleteLove these!! What a great representation of this week's theme!!!
ReplyDeleteAs a kid, I loved making my own comics.
